Hudspeth County is situated on the
Diablo Plateau of the Trans-Pecos,
where there are two square miles
of fresh air scenic space for each
inhabitant .Bordered by El Paso
County on the west, Culberson
County on the east. New Mexico on
the north, and Old Mexico on the south.
There are five major mountain regions including the Huecos, Sierra Diablo, Eagles, Finlays, and Quitmans. There are plains of gramma grass and rich fertile valleys. The elevation of the county varies from 3,200 feet in the Rio Grand Valley to 5,000 feet in the central plateau, to peaks in the mountains of over 7,000 feet.
