Paradise Lakes is a town in Putnam County, in the Palatka metro area. The community is in the Eastern Standard time zone. Paradise Lakes has access to Lake George, the second largest Lake in the state of Florida. Lake George, which connects to the St. Johns River, goes directly into the Atlantic Ocean.

The 44,000 acres of Lake George are located where the southern end of Putnam County joins Lake, Marion and Volusia counties.
